Denver Break Away Days Booth

Saturday, August 16th - 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The Fellowship Team is sponsoring a booth to hand out freezy pops and flyers about St. John / Kids of the Kingdom on Saturday, August 16th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. We're looking for volunteers to help setup the booth, man it and take it down. Signup sheet is on the bulletin board in the Narthex.

“PASS-IT-FORWARD SALE”& CHICK-FIL-A FOOD BOOTH FUNDRAISER FOR ALTERNATIVES PREGNANCY CENTER + LYF BAKE SALE & DIAPER DRIVE

SEPTEMBER 6th

8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Sales /  11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Food Booth

The Fellowship Committee is working with Alternatives Pregnancy Center on a great opportunity for St. John members to help to raise funds for them. Kelsie Matthias, Director of the Waverly Alternatives site, will have a “Chick-fil-A food booth in our parking lot during the Fall Denver City-wide Garage Sales.  She's bringing in 100 Chick-fil-A sandwiches to be sold along with chips, cookies and bottles of water that we will provide.  Additionally, the Fellowship Team is sponsoring a “Pass-it-Forward Sale”. All items will be offered as free with the option to donate if they are able - “As God has blessed us, let us bless you. When you’re done with the items please pass them on as a blessing to others.” All donations received will be gifted to Alternatives. 

The LYF Youth will be there twith a bake sale to raise funds for LYF snd will diapers, baby wipes and baby clothes for Alternatives as a community outreach project. 

How You Can Help!

  1. Donate Items. Bring items to a collection area in the back Sunday School room. Please donate items that are clean and in good, working condition. Items Accepted:
    • Electronic, Household and Home Decor Items
    • Garage/Garden/Sports items
    • Small Furniture. If you want to bring something larger, please bring it that morning and provide pick-up if it’s not taken.
    • Toys, books, craft items and games
    • Personal Items and Jewelry.
  2. Donate Time. We will need help organizing items received, setting up that morning, working the “sale” and clean-up. A signup sheet is posted on the bulletin in the Narthex.  
  3. Donate chips, cookies, bottles of water for the food sale. A signup sheet is posted on the bulletin in the Narthex.
  4. Donate diapers & wipes to be given to Alternatives. 
  5. Stop by, eat and purchase baked goods!
